Reports are circulating that The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) is in discussions with Balmain to create a beauty brand with the French luxury fashion house. If the alliance comes to fruition, it wouldn’t be the Paris-based fashion house’s foray into the world of beauty; Balmain’s stable currently includes haircare products and accessories. Balmain was founded in 1945. There have been recent reports that ELC, ranked No. 2 in Happi’s 2022 Top 50 Report, may acquire Tom Ford.
